Hello! My name is Lindsey Hervey, and I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I was fortunate to get to attend Faubion, Block House, Leander Junior High, and Leander High School. During that time I got to experience the amazing growth opportunities of QUEST, Odyssey of the Mind, Blue Brigade, and Blue Belles. I really feel that these experiences shaped who I am.

I then attended Texas A&M for my Bachelors in Business Administration in Marketing. I later earned my M.S. in Library Science from UNT, while obtaining my teaching certification from Region 13 in Ft. Worth.

I began my education career with Leander ISD in 2012 at Knowles Elementary. I taught Kinder there, and then at Rutledge for a total of 4 years. I then got the AMAZING opportunity to be the Librarian at Rutledge for 8 years.

As my family begins an exciting new adventure in Colorado Springs I am looking for my new library home. We are relocating to our new home in June – Myself, my husband Chris, our boys Will and Grady, and our two dogs Izzy and Max. Our family is excited to get to know the community, and find our places in Colorado Springs.
